Can't find a certain interior LED thread - need help.

I can't believe I didn't bookmark it, and I've searched the forum with no luck.

I'm looking for a thread where someone retrofitted their interior fixtures with two LED strips and added a second switch at the other end of the fixture to cut power to one of the strips.

Here's a pic from the thread:

I've got about 20' of flexible cool white LED laying around and I want to start installing it in my van.

Are these your lights? Is this your van? I want to read your thread again.

If you have any questions PM me. I do like the cool white over the warm white with the cover on. I do find that I usually just need one row on.

Thanks for the offer. I'm planning to try doing one of these today.

Re: Can't find a certain interior LED thread - need help.

I ended up doing the cabin lights using the old flexible/adhesive LED strips a friend gave me some years ago, without installing the switches to shut off one of the strips. My old van has the rounded fixtures which left me no flat surface to mount a second switch...at least not easily or cleanly. Turns out these old LEDs aren't so bright that I need the switches.

I have three fixtures up in the Voyager Top and one over the sink. The three up top got two LED strips each, and the one over the sink got three strips. For $20 at Radio Shack, and using free LED's, I think it turned out quite well. I'll probably update down the road, but this will get us by for a while to save some power.

I also replaced the bulbs in the reading lights over the couch. I also wanted to replace the six bulbs in the map lights and dome light up front but I ordered the wrong bulbs. I need to order 'wedge' bulbs for that.

Anyway, here's a couple of pics...
