How can Tesla battery technology be applied to SMBs?

Well? I know there are smarter people than me on here who can answer this question.

Interesting. Where are the solar panels? I suppose that's separate and this is just a battery. Pretty cool stuff, but I'm not comfortable with lithium batteries and fire risk just yet.

Maybe this Tesla battery would work in my SMB...

Just think, 7kWh in a package 33"x52"x7"; might actually fit. And that's a LOT of power, what, about 580 Ah at 12v? And so 58 at 120v? Might be able to connect to the house and run stuff off it there; I wonder if you could charge it via the grid at night and use it during the day to say do a wash and dry and save some money on the rate differential, even without using solar.

At $3000 it's a bit expensive, but cheaper than I thought it would be. You could spend half that on deep cycle batteries.

Turns out these puppies aren't rated for frequent recharge. More like emergency use at 50 cyclings a year. Meh.
