27 series 6V agm's ! perfect for traverse vans

I was browsing online my local battery place and notice they are
selling 6v 200AH 27 series size agm!
They are standard 27 series width and length and about 8.4 inches high.
Ive been looking for a good battery solution for my e250 Traverse since i got it.
the battery box on a traverse is a beefy double vented double locked box under the bed area.
For this reason I will only AGM's as they are safer and better anyways.
These 6v 200ah batteries are going to be perfect for my situation..
On my way in a minute to get them

And done
..

Curious, is the width an issue with your battery box?
Just wondering why 2-6v batteries as compared to a single 4-D....price?

Yes it is width issue. The Traverse battery box is built to fit two end to end size 27's.
So the two 6v's is my best option. I don't like batteries in parallel too much potential for charging issues..

Is there anything securing those batteries down? Also, it kinda/sorta looks like the battery compartment cover is made of wood rather than metal, so that's good. Metal could be bad if the batteries contact it.

Herb
The compartment is made of sealed baltic birch with rubber seals around the lid side and bottom vented to outside.
I have the batteries sitting on a sheet 1/8 inch plastic mesh as well.
There was a small wood block screwed to the bottom of the lid to keep the old 24 series battery from bouncing up. I had to remove it to fit the taller new batteries, I will be making a new blocking to custom fit the two new batteries.
Looking forward to going from 85AH to 200AH

Re: 27 series 6V agm's ! perfect for traverse vans

A 4D lifeline is an inch thinner in width and about 2" inches shorter in height than what's shown. The overall length is 20.76" on a single lifeline GPL-4DA, but two of those you linked to is about 25" in length sitting end to end. So were you looking for a tight fit? Makes sense you don't want a smaller single battery sliding around.
How expensive are those...I realize a lifeline 4D is an expensive battery and two 6v batteries might be a much better deal price wise.

The specs in metric are the correct ones it is 12 inch long 6.6 wide and 8.4 tall.
I dont know were they the inch dimensions but they are wrong.
The 4D lifeline is 8 inches wide a 27 series battery is 6.6 inches wide my box is 7 inches wide.
So this is the biggest battery setup to fit..
Batteries were 250 CAD each. about 180 USD.
550CAD tax and jumper cable in.
