Need some help with lighting circuit

I have 6 led lights that are 150mv each at 2watts
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ODS ... ge_o05_s00

How do I add up the power usage to determine if a 6amp dimmer will suffice. I know it says 12 amps on the below add but mine came with 6amp dimmers
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AHU ... ge_o03_s00

You've got a typo there, that's 150mA (2w / 12v is actually 166mA, but the 2w might be approximate)

The math is pretty easy for parallel current, just sum them up: 6 lights x 166mA = 1Amp (or 900mA if we assume they're really 150mA)

With 6 lamps, You're well below the 6A limit.

Re: Need some help with lighting circuit

thanks

I purchased 2 of the dimmers which come with remotes. Interesting thing is that the remotes work with either dimmer, so I am going to put velcro on the backs of each remote and use them as 3ways on the side and rear doors. Now I will have a spare dimmer if something goes wrong with the other.

How do you like these?
I'm looking into similar lights.

I like the lights. Had to install them in pairs. All 6 on 1 switch needs a dimmer.

Did use the dimmer on 1 pair for a lower light and put the 2 remotes at the rear and side door to act like a 3 way switch.
