RB/EB 50 over sink shelf uses?
Anybody with the RB/EB 50 plan use this shelf for anything? Looks like anything put up there would fall out if the van is moving. We're taking off in a few weeks for our first real use of the van & was trying to think of what we could use it for.

Really? You can't think of what may be conveniently stored there? That space is handier than pockets in a pair of pants. Handiwipes, paper towels, plastic cups, fruit, gloves, anything at all. Most all stuff stays there during regular driving. If you're 4 wheeling, take the heavier stuff out.

Books, laptop, pens, paper and more. I find it very handy for small items I want to be easy to get to.

Re: RB/EB 50 over sink shelf uses?
I was thinking anything taller than 3 or 4 inches would launch anytime I went over a speed bump or pothole. I'll load it up with stuff that won't do too much damage if it falls & see how it goes. I'm not too crazy behind the wheel so it sounds like I should be fine.

See Jage's write-up for some bungee retainers on that upper shelf.

I keep a roll of paper towels, a couple of insulated mugs, some plastic cups and my head lamp. Some times some odd ball stuff gets put up there. I've never had anything fall.

My EB50 layout is different (no microwave) but generally up there I put hand soap, dish soap, that kind of stuff.

Mine is packed. I plan to put a couple of hinged doors on mine just to make it look cleaner. Mine is also large enough to stow a shotgun. (just point the barrel towards the rear )

If you are rock crawling or in steep terrain in 4X4 low, almost everything winds up on the floor.
