SMB Refresh at SMB North - Indy

We had 120,000 miles, 6 years, and probably 500 nights in our E350 - RB50 van, so it was time to get a few things redone. Dropped the van off at SMB North on Dec. 4. They installed new house batteries, replaced the fluorescent lights (3) with new LEDs - two level and much nicer. New carpet in the main cabin. They added an access door to allow me to change the position of the inverter on/off/auto switch without raising the seat. They put new cushions in the seat/bed and installed new upholstery on the seating, the rear bed platform, and the battery box, as well as on the sliding doors, and PH storage shelf (no bed up top in ours). We also had them remove the PH top and install new canvas/windows, etc. Some of the screens were torn and the plastic windows were showing wear and tear also. They relocated our electric inlet. I originally had them put it inside the van because I didn't want another hole in the side of the van, but after fighting it for 6 years, I find it much nicer on the outside.

We picked the van up on Dec. 19, so they did all this in just about 2 weeks. Looks great and I can't say enough about how well they try to work with you on schedule, etc. The cost was quite reasonable for all the work they did. We are ready to go for another couple years. We are kind of waiting to see how all the 4x4 options work out in the next year or two before getting a new van, so hopefully this will do the trick.

Congrats Steve, sounds like you are nicely freshened up! I've considered doing this too, mostly for the pop top (upholstery and mechanism) refresh.

Enjoy!
