SMB West Factory Visits
Hey all,
I was just wondering if my fellow 'expecting' customers would like to put together a list of vans in production so that when one of us goes to the factory we can make sure to keep an eye out for the others.
Anyone else think this is a good idea?
edit: I need to get my build number, but I have the dark grey eb with dark grey cabinetry. I'm supposed to talk to John K today so I'll ask him where on the line it is...

I am flying in to SMB West on Tuesday (05/15/2007) to review the proposed plans for the TWOLOST SMB. It will be a very quick trip... but I will try and rattle off some factory floor pics as time allows.

I will also be going to the Sportsmobile factory to finalize my options with Jonathan. I will be there on Friday May 18th sometime in the morning. I will keep my eyes open for your vans on the line. I to will be taking some pictures.

My van was over in a dirt lot at Freedom Ford - waiting for me to finalize the specs before it officially gets in line. There were about 20 other OEM vans there as well.
With significant progress made on finalizing details Tuesday, my hope is the real work will start early next week.

Twolost, I saw your SMB page over a month ago and thought that thing already existed. Is there anything you left out?

Yep, I have a dark grey van as well - will blend into the granite cliffs of the North Cascades I hope.
As for the options - lots I can do, some I cant. Still working on closing the last few loose ends. Hope to have the van in production next week.
Hmmmm.... more options? Oh, I wanted to get a full size bigfoot mural painted on the passenger side of the van - something out of the famous Patterson/Gimlin sequence in 1967. That was pretty much shot down by my wife when she said that she would disown me if I did that... :-)

Ah but how much would it be worth to have someone come and "vandalize" it onto your van with an airbrush?
