Stock Ford jack - stiff to turn?

My stock Ford jack is getting stiff to turn. Any idea if these can be lubricated?

(I know I need to get myself a better jack, but I'll still probably take the stock Ford jack around with me as a backup. And I have a hi-lift too.)

Re: Stock Ford jack - stiff to turn?

Mine turns easily still, so I'm surprised yours doesn't (I use it anytime I do the brakes or suspension work in the driveway, and have had to change a lot of trailer tires). I'm sure there's some way to lube it, but I have no idea how. I bet you could pick one up a wrecking yard jack for $5, or free with any other purchase.

If you'd care to spend time on re-habbing it you'd have to slightly alter the body in order to disassemble and lube it.

You could also find a nice gently used or new/take-out jack on eBay like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1992-2012-FO...1954cd&vxp=mtr
