caddy for Ford 2006 van seats w/o distinct headrests

HI all,
I have a 2006 ford van with the kind of front seats without distinct headrests. I'm trying to find one of those caddys that allow you to store things on the back of the passenger seat. The issue is that most of the caddys hang from the area between an attached headrest and the seat.

The Ford seats are all one unit and not much of a change in the width, i.e. they are unibody seats if there is such a term.

Has anyone found a product or solution for this? I mostly want to have a place to put some trash, kleenex, dog leashes etc.

thanks for any leads or ideas. I suppose I could sew something into the seat, but would rather have something that can remove easily.

Your vans seats don't have a rear pocket? Or are you wanting more? I would think a upholstery shop could make up something for you.

Maybe seatcovers.com ???

no pockets on my van seat covers. Hmm. Maybe I will go look underneath. no, nothing there. The covers appear to be the original equipment, but I don't know for sure.

I can sew but it would be a bit involved to design something-would rather find a ready made solution or even a pattern. I will check out the website suggested.

I know Wet Okole make seat covers that have a "map pocket" similar to the ones on my van. I'm not sure how big of a pocket or storage area you want or can fit in behind the seat.

Expensive for sure but really nice quality.

Rugged ridge makes stuff for jeep seats but I'm not sure of the dimensions compared to Ford. Maybe call them if you're after something like this:

Not sure how comfortable something like this would be on a seat that doesn't have a headrest.

Probably more stuff out there like this I'd think.

I think that type of integrated headrest in part of all stock seats beginning at least in '97, perhaps earlier?

I found an okay seat back organizer at a Love's big truck stop but it or something very similar should be available at almost any other big truck stop, $20 max.

A bit later I'll update this reply linking to a thread on FTE where a F-Series owner found a MOLLE-military style system that might fit this need perfectly. Its modular and with a ton of available pouches and such its adaptable, changeable and easily installed and removed as needed. I dare say its darn near perfect.

Stay tuned---back just a bit later this same day.

I was thinking about that thread too JWA, but I couldn't remember the name and it was awhile back.

Ford seats were this way back to 92 I think, I've had a 92 and now my 95 with the same style.

Also, late model Jeep seats are almost the exact same shape so I bet there are some options as DaveB noted.

Interesting about the Jeeps---have to look into that as well.

Here's the thread link of FTE about seat organizers---hope it inspires a few ideas:
