Road Xpedition interior 12 volt fan

Anyone know where I could pick up a new interior 12volt fan? I attached some pics. I was hoping for the same exact model as it will line up perfectly with the holes for the screws.

Much thanks

Re: Road Xpedition interior 12 volt van

Do you need a fan and a new controller or just a new fan?

My old fan was junk, but my controller was fine. I bought a new fan off Amazon and did a little wiring.

Just the fan...

Fan and controller...

The holes for the fan were the same. Can't imagine the controller would be any different. All pretty standard components.

Not really sure. What happened was I left the fan on and it eventually burned itself out. It looks like the controller melted so maybe that's all I need? Thanks for the links.

Re: Road Xpedition interior 12 volt fan

Yeah, I thought your controller looked a little 'bubbly'. If you wanted to get fancy, I assume you could buy a dimmer style 12v controller on eBay but I doubt it would be the same size as the Low-Off-High controller like you have so the mounting holes probably wouldn't match up. Then again, if it was bigger, it would just cover up the old holes and not matter.

Just FYI, when I was reading reviews on fans, the Peak one was the one that people felt put out the most air. That was my main concern. They are all loud, especially when the oscillating gears are engaged - no way around that. We keep ours stationary on low when we sleep and it kind of doubles as a white noise machine. We've only used our fan three nights so far but we're really happy with it so far.

If I was in your spot, I'd buy the Peak fan and look for a 3-position controller on eBay while researching the 12v dimmer switch option.

Road Xpedition interior 12 volt fan

I took my fan out and mounted a three position cigarette adapter in its place with a fuse seeing how SMB did not have one. This gives a better cleaner counter space and when I need a fan I just plug in the fantastic fan that works way better then those do.
