Added the most expensive custom accessory ever!

Wench over winch, the maintenance costs are astronomical but I love it!

Now where's that manual to figure out how it's supposed to work?

Re: Added the most expensive custom accessory ever!

You REALLY need to careful what buttons you push on that type of accessory, the resulting operational charateristics can be quite unanticipated. What's worse is sometimes the buttons get pushed without you even knowing it, or intending to. The other thing to keep in mind is whatever goes wrong during your privilege of being acquainted and allowed to experience this accessory, will ALWAYS be operator error and this type of accessory usually does not let you forget it. The rectifying procedures can be quite expensive and time consuming. An enjoyable but very, very complicated experience lies ahead. Best to keep giving it lots of attention, seems to work best. Good luck!, And yes, nice vents, the rest of the van does look good but pales compared to the new addition (see how that works?)

There is no manual that I have ever been able to find. Each unit is unique. You have learn each one as you go.

Re: Added the most expensive custom accessory ever!

Yeah, I think I'm done pushing buttons and figure the preloaded operating system is the safest bet.

The air vents are to keep my hot air to a minimum.

Tomorrow marks 17 years of my "official" acquisition of said accessory. Er, more likely it's acquisition of me! Fortunately I've been able to stay far away from the curb and look forward to many more years of troubled and temperament filled operation.

It can be difficult to lube and change the oil in that accessory. Especially the coolant, which is most often needed.
