Scepter water container fill solution

Not the best but it's much easier and faster than the collapsable jug or silly funnel routine.

Materials:
male garden hose end
female garden hose end
2 hose clamps
small piece of RV hose
5' of clear poly 1 1/4 hose

You don't need the hose clamp on the water can but I opted to have it snug up with about 2 turns. It's pretty easy insurance so you can walk away from it until it's done emptying.

Only one comment.

Make sure to place a towel under the can when it is on the countertop. The dirt on the can will act like sandpaper and scratch the top.

Learned the hard way.

Re: Scepter water container fill solution

I like adding quick disconnects which makes the whole process a lot easier:

Re: Scepter water container fill solution

Be aware, I tried two different quick connects and both leaked. I believe that they are designed to be leak free only under pressure.

Re: Scepter water container fill solution

Try quick connects for aquarium pumps. I have them and they even have a gated valve on the connectors.
