The perfect travel grill ??
Is there still a search on for the perfect travel grill?
Or has it been found??
I have been on this quest for a while, and NO, that is not why I have not been around lately (no good excuses).
...but I may have an entry...

Re: The perfect travel grill ??
We love our Volcano. It is fairly compact when stored. Works great for the 4 of us. I really like cooking with wood or charcoal so we leave the propane burner at home. We also use it as a mini-firepit but it does not radiate a lot of heat.

Simple and cheap
Here's what we have used for years. Prop it over a firepit with rocks, or just dig a hole in the ground and add briquets. It's out of a portable propane grill. Available at garage sales and recylcling centers everywhere! Carrying case extra. Easy clean up with a pine cone.

also mentioned in forum somewhere before:
www.cobbamerica.com
no personal experience with it, but looks small and efficient and whoever first posted it said they loved it. similar to the volcano...

Re: The perfect travel grill ??
I like the coleman clamshell deal
Have a couple of other propane type grills, abit bulky
Wife likes wood fired stuff
So we are another vote for the Volcano
also doubles as a campfire pit, with "off the ground" rules
