Re: Pop-Top Upkeep -- Gutter rust and rubbing spots
I had line-x sand out the drip rail rust, then spray a nice wrap around bedding surface for the pop top to nest. I had him continue up the drip rail to the windshield and also wrap the drip rail to the underside... It came out really nice and rid my brain of the ugly rust up there!
I can take pics next week if you would like and post them up here?

I like and use Vulkem. 1 <$10 tube will do your whole gutter. Messy stuff, wear disposable gloves and use masking tape for clean lines. Also, it needs 2-3 days to set up before you lower the top so that alone might rule it out for some.

I just used the tape Sportmobile uses on the new van, it's not cheap but it works great. Ck their store. Just clean, refinish the rusted spots and tape all around the contact areas.
