New floor mats needed, 98 E series

I just aquired a very clean 98 E series with original carpeted mats from SMB. I'll be using this as one of my daily drivers and up here in the PNW we have lots of rain, some mud, occassionally snow, etc. The original mats are a little thin and don't do much to capture rain. I was looking at Weathertech, Highland and Husky. However both seats have a lip constructed around them around the floor from SMB almost like a box and the seat mount sits in the middle? Great for some small items and what not. I was wondering if this is going to cause any issue with aftermarket mats? Am I going to have to cut the mats? I like more of a flat molded mat such as the highland and Weathertech as I do walk between the seats and I would be concerned about tripping at night on a lip.
Thoughts before I hit the buy it now?

Highland here! Love 'em wouldn't trade for any I've seen. I have a box like yours , but it doesn't interfere.
