Not sure how recently this happened, but the homepage of Sportsmobile.com has been redesigned. New color scheme and the welcome page has been dramatically shortened to serve more as a site map than an all-encompassing guide to buying a van. Dedicated drop-down menus for Promaster and Transit vans now too, though much of the information is just copied from other models and there are few pictures.

One thing I would love to see someday is a more powerful DIY Design Studio. Any type of 3D rendering of the interior would be a huge improvement over the birds-eye technical blueprint. I never could get a good sense of how the counter tops, cabinets and appliances fit together (especially in terms of height) until I went to go see other vans in person.

Purely from a design standpoint, a black background would have been my last choice.

You know, I have to agree. I understand the landscape is constantly changing in the SMB world, but they might really do well for a clear website design / SMB configurator thingy. If nothing else, clear and large photos to correspond to every factory option and a specific showcase of custom touches.

Either way, they are selling them faster than they can build em, so it is fair to say the website might be good enough.

Just another bootstrapped WordPress site. Real web designers and developers cost money for a reason. I've always hated that their online store and main site look different, that hasn't changed. We live in the age of branding and re-branding, why wouldn't they use a unified theme? When did wiring a bunch of disparate crap together become a thing?

I'm getting old.
