I'm pretty sure that's the size my van came with stock.

Yep, that's the OEM size on most of them I think.

Will a 265/75/16" work on a 2003 E250 RB40 (no lift)

Going to a BFG A/T KO2 and would love a 265/75/16 - or equivalent 17"
Don't plan on lifting it until I swap to 4x4....... Probably not in my budget until I prove to be wife how much we use the van.

Yes I put Nokian Rotivas 245/75/16 recently. I could probably fit 235 85 16 but it would be close and affect your drivability due to gearing and torque behaviour.

I had 235/85/16's on for a bit and they fit without any rubbing. They were BFG All Terrains. I believe they are the same OD as a 265/75/16, so those may fit without any rubbing as well. An inexpensive option would be to get a coil spacer lift for the front, aka leveling kit.

I have 235/85s on my 250 without any rubbing at all. 5.4 with 3.73 LSD rear and can still smoke tires from a standing start.

See my post to your other inquiry dated 27 January 2015 with the same question I believe.

You may want to contact SMB to see if they come stock and if they have any on hand for sale.

SMB removes quite a lot of tires to accommodate upgrades for the 4 wheel drive crowd, so you should be able to get a good discount on the stock tires.

Re: wheels n tires on a 2wd e350

If you are on the east coast, there is a guy in York, Pa., who often posts OEM takeoff wheels and tires for good prices. He gets them from Quigley (also in York). That's where I got my OEM 16" alloy wheels and Michelin LTX tires. His ads come and go. Here is his current one: http://lancaster.craigslist.org/pts/4859233852.html

Hankook 245/75-16 tires on steel wheels for $600, or Michelin LTX 225s on the alloy wheels for $1050. The Michelin setup is a particularly good deal, as those tires alone go for $200+ each, not counting mounting and balancing. It's like you get the OEM Ford alloy wheels for free.

In 2012 SMB west sold me 245's to replace the 225's that were on my pass van being converted.
