E350 spare tire mount

My new 2009 shuttle bus didn't come with a typical spare tire mount between the frame rails, it's just barren open space. Any idea where I can buy the mount? I've found the winch cable but not the actual mount. Would something like this used bracket from an F250 work?

Re: E350 spare tire mount

I would think SMB would have a pile of them since they do the XL underfloor storage and taking that out is necessary- cut or unbolted I'm not sure. Honestly I'd dot this viewtopic.php?f=44&t=6838 instead of putting the spare back under there.

Very nice, and very tempting, but I still need a location for the spare and don't want to have to haul it inside the bus.

Hey Archer - how about this:

Do what Jage suggested (I have one of those fantastic NorthLeftCoast boxes as well!) and put one of these:

http://www.aluminess.com/ford/ford-v...13/tire-racks/

on the rear bumper. That is my solution

if your not liking the other options these guys have provided, most pick and pull yards have vans. you should be able to get whatever you need from them for next to nothing.

It's always bittersweet to still see a pic of my former SMB on both the Aluminess website and the Sportsmobile website.

That's your best bet.. It'd be a pain in the ass to get out though, pretty serious rivets in a hard to reach spot, so you can't really drill them out. Or at least I couldn't.

Something like this would work fine, except being on the back of a bus that doesn't have a rear door I don't need it to swing. Anyone know of a bumper mount spare rack that is stationary? I ask because I would assume a stationary rig would be cheaper.
