My new 2009 shuttle bus didn't come with a typical spare tire mount between the frame rails, it's just barren open space. Any idea where I can buy the mount? I've found the winch cable but not the actual mount. Would something like this used bracket from an F250 work?
I would think SMB would have a pile of them since they do the XL underfloor storage and taking that out is necessary- cut or unbolted I'm not sure. Honestly I'd dot this viewtopic.php?f=44&t=6838 instead of putting the spare back under there.
if your not liking the other options these guys have provided, most pick and pull yards have vans. you should be able to get whatever you need from them for next to nothing.

That's your best bet.. It'd be a pain in the ass to get out though, pretty serious rivets in a hard to reach spot, so you can't really drill them out. Or at least I couldn't.
Something like this would work fine, except being on the back of a bus that doesn't have a rear door I don't need it to swing. Anyone know of a bumper mount spare rack that is stationary? I ask because I would assume a stationary rig would be cheaper.
