$90 Costco battery, good deal? Anything you like better?

Lola wants a new battery.

Hers is original, and she's sitting dead in the driveway. Started a couple of times yesterday just fine after sitting for awhile, but I was checking the hitch step and whether it interfered with the reverse sensors, so we didn't drive anywhere.

Today, the battery's dead.

I'm pretty sure it will take a jump, but since it's original (plain black Motorcraft), I'm just going to replace it. It's about time on a 2011, yes?

Costco has one (Interstate/Johnson Co.) for $89.00. Good deal? Anybody like a different battery?

You will have no trouble getting it warrantied. They also sell Optima if you want to go that way.

If you are considering going solar with AGM batteries, you may want to consider an AGM starting battery. I picked a couple at Pep Boys, they had a really good price a few weeks ago.

AGM will be about 50% more cost than the Costco lead acid battery, which, if you are not installing solar, is the way to go, imho.

btw - make sure Costco has the correct battery size for your van. If it uses a Group 65, they may not have them??

Thanks, gents. I'll do solar eventually, so for now lead acid looks like the way to go.
