Re: Custom Paint Job

Not my style, but pretty damn cool. I have no art talent whatsoever. Would be nice to be able to lay down a paintjob like that in a day. The sharpie art people do is pretty cool too.

Re: Custom Paint Job

Well, it is definitely not boring anymore!

I've haven't seen anyone paint a full vehicle outside like that. And, dang, my finger hurts just watching all those spray cans going onto the van.

Dream Machine................more like a nightmare, but it is his, not mine, so have fun.

Re: Custom Paint Job

I've been a fan of Drew Brophy's work for years. For a while, he was selling his artwork printed on silk for use as overlays for glassing surfboards. This is my favorite board made by a friend of mine with one of Drew's designs:

He also has his artwork available through a website called SkinIt. You can get cell phone cases and skins for almost any laptop computer.

Re: Custom Paint Job

Looks cool but the top is still white at the end. Maybe he is going to add a penthouse.

That's kind of a hilarious take away from an other wise very cool and interesting look at such a process. My take aways were............

Maria is VERY cute!

Drew has one of those artistic eyes such creations demand.

The before and after is naturally quite dramatic even if the roof is (still) white!

My own artist's eye would limit me to handing Drew the spray cans or fetching lunch!

Thanks for sharing Baja!

Re: Custom Paint Job

It is a cool paint job, I drive by it every day to and from work. It is parked most day outside Terry Senate surf shop.

Re: Custom Paint Job

I saw this rig fueling up in Bend yesterday afternoon - I knew I had seen it somewhere before!
