Second Row Seat Quick Bolts
Hi all, wondering if anyone knows where to get quick bolts like these one pictured at discountvantruck.com. I need to have them in the next two weeks which rules out discountvantruck.

Thanks!

Could probably get away with a coupling used for joining two galvanized all thread rod.(search all thread coupling) Have a machine shop add threads to the outside 3/4 of the way up so as to leave a hex shoulder. Add fender washer for inside strength. Simpson Strong-Tie plate washer or larger for the bottom, plus lock washer and nut to lock it place. (Lock Tite works well also) all are available in Galvanized but you would probably have to treat the machined threads for rust prevention if that is a concern. Just an idea for stuff readily available off the shelf at Hm-Dpt

Be careful with the Home Depot fasteners. I've broken enough bolts I don't really trust that stuff anymore, aside from the packaged Superstrut hardware in the electrical section.

Re: Second Row Seat Quick Bolts
Maybe give Van Specialities a call?
Also I know CVCandMore uses those for their conversions. I don't think they normally sell parts retail but you might be able to sweet talk them.

Re: Second Row Seat Quick Bolts
Sorry, I should have clarified re HD of the shelf: I would only use galvanized Simpson Strong Tie components for all of this. It is the stuff that is supposed to hold my house down in an earthquake, hopefully, good enough to hold a seat down in a crash.

Re: Second Row Seat Quick Bolts
Thanks for all of the awesome input guys! Ray, I agree with you about the using Simpson type hold down fasteners; can't be too safe. Then again, I guess a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link...

No, honestly I didn't even call them. Discount Van Truck has a reputation of being very slow.

They are available from your local uhaul. They come with an eyelet bolt, but can be replaced.
