Hello new to the forum. Have had SMB-envy of my Brother/sister in laws since they got it 10 years ago, now I have my own to build-- 2014 E350 with new Advanced 4WD conversion. Curious how others are placing mounting their house batteries. Inside? Outside? how?? Any suggestions, pictures, supplies, whatever most appreciated..

Under the van in battery boxes by the rear axle is the norm where SMB mounts em but with AGM batteries you can put them inside. Still it's a good idea to vent the box anyway. I run two 210AH 4-D AGM's but depending on your expected loads, many get by with one or a smaller bank of batteries. The FAQ's in the electrical section has a lot of links to battery info.

Knowing the size of the van (RB/EB - Pass/ Cargo), and as Dave alluded to, what the size of the bank will be is helpful in determining battery locations
