Stuff Sliding Around

I need some advice on how to set the back of my van up for travel so my Action Packers/Totes don't slide around. I want to load the totes between the storage boxes but need to prevent them from sliding forward. I would rather not do anything that is permanent or difficult to remove so its not in the way once in camp. Thoughts? Here is a pic of what I have so far:

Nets will stop 'em from dislodging and bangin' on your head in an emergency.

The "not fuzzy" part of self-adhesive velcro strips will sort of stick 'em to the carpet for normal no-slide travel, I'm guessing

I use a cargo net to keep things under the bed in my van. In your case one strap run across the bed frame about mid height on the packers would work. You could use something like these low profile strap loops to attatch the strap on each side of the bed. I'm a big fan of the 1" cam buckle strap.

This is a picture of the rear cargo net I had someone with an industrial sewing machine make for me. I have a similar one attatched to the bed frame in the front. The funky looking netting in the picture is there to keep pillows from falling down to floor level.

Thanks. I guess I could just run a couple of webbing straps and buckles across the front.... Or a net. Easy enough to undo and move out of the way.

Nice nets, by the way.

Anyway, I flush mounted VersaTie Track on my floor. Now, I can put tie downs in a number of places, relocate those tie downs easily, and even remove them when unneeded. I'm still experimenting with some combination of webbing and nets attached to these tie downs.

One more tip on securing stuff from becoming torpedoes. You can use a carabiner to attatch things to the drivers side of the cargo strap/net. I use a biner to connect the handle of an ice chest to the cargo net. Nice easy quick disconnect system.

I use Raingler netting secured with footmans loops.

Noooo.... you'll wind up with adhesive all over the carpet and stains ground into the adhesive, etc. It's a bad mix and doesn't work.

I second the cargo net- either a truckbed net or an elastic cargo net. I prefer elastic cargo because you can step over it, push it down etc and won't get hurt on it. The advantage to a truckbed cargo net would be less give, so your stuff doesn't shift (as it might in the elastic version).

You could also do a truckbed cargo bar between the benches. Fully adjustable, removable and no mount points to install.

perhaps some web strapping (like the kind on laptop cases and bags etc) ?

could rivet on length to each box you got there and when you connect them it forms a barrier.

i would look for those things that click together that also allow you to adjust tension....like dont know what they are called but this looks like a likely site that has something handy...
