Re: E450 RV Conversion

Very nice.

I was talking with a friend about conversions like this; his problem is he can't find anything without a huge rear overhang. But that ambo would be great!

Looks nice. What tires are those on the Ambo?

Re: E450 RV Conversion

Thanks fellas. The tires are Toyo M608Z, size 285/70/19.5.

I'll post more pics of the RV in the next few days!

Re: E450 RV Conversion

Did you have 5 of the same ambos all at the same time? Looks like they're set up for personal use, not ambulance use (no red lights).

I always liked OzRockRat's ambo.

Re: E450 RV Conversion

I'd love to know where they plan to drive such a large RV off road. It would seem the coach would fall apart in fast order if driven beyond a nice smooth sandy beach. Gutsy call for sure.

Is this type of conversion common? I've seen some 4X4 RVs but generally were much smaller.

Re: E450 RV Conversion

True, these coaches are not built for any off road use. All of the class c rigs we've done are strictly for beach use.

Oh no, that would be WAY too many! 2 of these big boys back to back is enough, ready to work on a little van again

Correct, all that we have converted here are retired ambos. We do have our kit on one in service up in Canada though.
