Saggy butt fix for Quigley conversion?

My 99 Quigley SMB seems to be sagging a bit in the rear. What is the most cost effective way to fix this issue? New leaf springs? Add leaf spring? Other?

The cheapest way is a shakle flip. Cost nothing but work. It will bring your buddies butt 1.25" higher.
I asume your leafs are weak, so the best -but most expensive-way is to buy deavers. Everything else is a compromise i think.
Airbags are also not the worst idea.
I recomend deavers. But thats only my mind

Have you done a shackle flip on an E series?

Get the van weighed and have custom springs made for it. Deaver is excellent of course or we can do a set for you. Airbags are good but I would start with a spring that has the proper weight capacity.

Bajasmb recommended National down in San Diego as a less expensive leaf pack alternative to Deaver. That's my next big project.

Re: Saggy butt fix for Quigley conversion?

Thanks for the tips. This will be getting done at a shop. If I understand correctly I just need to get the van weighed, then get custom springs made? Are there any out of box options my shop can order on the fly for new heavy duty springs?

Nobody will have a spring ready to go, need to be built.

No doubts as long as all of the geometry stays correct, just not commonly done on these rigs.

Re: Saggy butt fix for Quigley conversion?

deavers has a general spring pack that he has ready. but with my van he moved the axle up a little to fit in the wheel well better.

Re: Saggy butt fix for Quigley conversion?

We offer a custom made, by National Spring, full length add-a-leaf that supports the main leaf and is wrapped under the spring eyes on each end. It has the same shape as the main leaf and will not gap. It will lift you van 1" to 1.5" depending on weight. They are not cheap at $325 but work great.

A cheaper solution is an add-a-leaf from ProComp like a 13126-1 or 13128-1, both around $100, and will lift 1".
