Toyo AT2 295/75/16 - anyone??

Researching some new rubber for my '02 Quigley and noticed that Toyo has added an E Rated 295/75/16 in their new AT2. Just a smudge bigger than the 285's that are on it now - has anyone run this size on a Quigley yet? Thoughts? Guessing it'll still fit w/o trimming but it'll be close - right?? Load rating is bumped up a bit from the 285s too 3950lbs/ea

How are they priced compared to the 285's?

love to know your thoughts if you went ahead and bought them.

Well. In the end the 285/75/16s won out. The tire shop did a test install and I would have to trimmed quite a bit plus the bushwhacker. Could it be done? Yes, but I was not comfortable digging in that big. New AT2s look awesome on the rig, not quite as aggressive as the Xtreme version but they'll work quite nicely. 50k warranty is nice too

Re: Toyo AT2 295/75/16 - anyone??

^^^ thats the size im using as well. no complaints, but i miss the aggressive look of mud tires.

not sure if my rig is any different than any other quigley, but before my rip kit from ramsey, i threw on a buddies 315/75/16's for a road trip as my current tires at that time were questionable for 11 passengers. the only rubbing we got was at lock when we were on uneven ground or hitting holes etc. and even then it was just the very corner of the bumper that connected with the tires. would have been very easy to take a small slice off each side of bumper to eleminate all rubbing. i didnt go with the 315's to save a little money, but i may go bigger next time round.

I have a 2011 quigley and run nitto trail grapplers M/T 295's yes you have to cut the lower section of fender. I also have a 2001 quigley with BFG A/T 305's and I didn't cut those fenders but it rubs a little bit when you turn hard and go over a bump.

Re: Toyo AT2 295/75/16 - anyone??

FYI for those interested.

I mounted Toyo AT2 295/75/16 XT on my 2000 EB50 with Quigley suspension. I was replacing BFG T/A KO's of the same size (295's). The van has Super Spring SSC31 front springs with Deaver leafs in the rear. I also have a Road Armor front bumper. I had to do some minor fender/Bushwacker trimming when I put on the 295 BFG's, but it was less than an hour of trimming, and painting (rust protection). The new Toyo AT2's fit with no rubbing, they run about the same noise level as the BFG's, but they feel smoother because I can run a lower air pressure thanks to the higher load rating compared to the load D BFG's. They handle about the same, but I suspect they will not do as well in snow/ice as there is fewer sipes. Overall, I'm happy (so far).
