Clearence Height

HI Everyone,

Again, a newbie, looking in to ordering my first SMB soon. I am looking to store this in my garage; safest, cleanest, best place to access. But of course the garage door height is not enough. Inside my garage is plenty tall. So I am wondering if anyone out there would mind chiming in and possibly measure the clearance height of their van for me? I don't know all of my options yet, but I am planning on most likely having:
- 35" tires on 17" rims
- roof top basket w/ solar and off road lights mounted on front

I don't think there are any other options that would really effect the overall height of the vehicle. But I am not sure either.

I will use this picture, because its awesome and hard to stray from this image in my head when I think of Sportsmobile.

Thanks everyone!!! Really appreciate any help.

Re: Clearence Height

I'm on 33s with Quigley conversion and had Aluminess make my rack "low profile" and my van is 8' 3" at the tallest point.

Re: Clearence Height

I've got a recent SMB build similar to the pic above & I'm a couple inches over 8' tall. I have Thule bars on top instead of the Aluminess rack & have 33" wheels.

Re: Clearence Height

Mine is similar to the pictured rig also. Quadvan conversion with 4" lift, 32" tires (17" wheels). Aluminess rack on top with a low profile Yakima box attached to the BOTTOM of the aluminess rack. Fits in my 9' garage door with a few inches to spare.

I raised the header on my garage door to go from 8' to 9'.

That is exactly what I am going for!!! Thank you for your insight. We will see if I am as lucky as you and can make that work or not. I have a guy coming by today actually to check it out. We'll see.

Everyone else, thank you for your help and insight!
