Donor Dana 50TTB

Jan and I were exploring the mountains northeast of Cabo and came across this Ford F250, or what is left of it, off the side of the road. Something caught my eye and I backed up, got out, and though everything else of value was stripped from it, it still had the complete Dana 50 TTB under it.

I'll head back up with tools...

Nice, with the added benefit for you of knowing just what's what and what is worth fooling with.

Since when did that body style have TTB? I thought that the <1980 4x4 trucks (as in your photo) were all straight axles? ... or are you just making a funny?

Got that right! Wandering around on a dirt bike in the White Mountains east of Ely, Nevada 4 years ago I found this. It would take a helicopter to get it out of there today. But talk about a long bed pickup - this model came stock with a 10' bed!

Good eye. The cab is a '73 to '79 body style and the TTB didn't come out until 1980 - but this is Baja and weird stuff happens. It most definitely has a Dana 50 TTB under it though, but why?

The TTB has new Hubs on it...
It has a blue cab and white inner fender supports...

Another Baja mystery!
