Cheesy Harbor Freight winch ad photo

I got an e-mail from Harbor Freight today advertising their winches. Is it just me, or does this image in the e-mail look totally Photoshopped, with the HF winch added in? Note how the front end of the rig is mud-covered, but the winch and fairlead are totally clean. Plus, something just looks off.

Looks shopped to me, and of course it's Harbor Freight, so everything is off except the price.

I don't know about their winches, but the snatch block in the same H.F. advertisement uses a "C" clip to hold the pulley together. Have any of you guys had one of those pop off when pulling off angle and have the cable go flying? I have when pulling a cut tree down. It still fell where I wanted it to, but I was not pleased with what could have been a disaster.

So do any of you have a source for a snatch block which is better and does not use a "C" clip?

I've got one of their winches. Love it. Just don't use the fasteners it came with to bolt it on....

These winches are getting great reviews ( taken with a grain of salt) but I'll be installing one on my 2001 tacoma as soon as I finish Raptor-lining the new off road bumper I got. Don't plan on using it all that much but since the bumper has a spot for it I figured why not right?
