01 E250 Ex. Cargo Conversion

Could anyone tell me what donor truck is best for a 4x4 conversion on my 01 E250. Unfortunately I do not have the means to buy everything from UJOR or any of the other conversion companies. Will a factory leaf shackle off a similar year F250 fit the E250 I have some mechinical ingenuity tools welders torches etc. How do I make this happen. If I have to buy some parts online so be it but there are many junk yards near me with plenty of stock in fords. I am looking for the final result I am looking for is a 6 inch lift with a dana 60 up front, fix the one wheel burnout in back keeping the factory D60 adding a locker. I need a donor t case, mounts, any info on trans mods needed for 4x4 conversion, drive shaft info, shock mounts, locations for mounts brackets etc, and what not to do. So far I have only been upgrading the interrior and it is coming along great. Any help would be great. Thanks guys!

Check out ujoint's website. Tons of great info with plenty of options for you to buy/supply you own parts for the conversion.

Re: 01 E250 Ex. Cargo Conversion

I would go with 2005 on up F250/350 front axle and suspension - like QuadVan does.

Used parts are easy to come by and the conversion is pretty simple. QuadVan may sell the brackets or I think Colorado Camper Van may have something - or make your own.

You could use the rear axle out of the same truck or wheel adapters and keep your rear axle.

Wish there was an easy way but if factory parts fit the E series correctly I wouldn't be in business!
