Quigley sway bar front axle bushings

Hi All, I am fixing up another van I bought and the two bushing where the sway bar inserts into the axle are warn out. Does anyone know where to get them other than Quigley? It is a 2000 E350.

Re: Quigley sway bar front axle bushings

My '98 Quigley uses the stock 2wd bushings, and I got urethane Moog bushings from Amazon to replace them - #K80222. I bet yours are the same. I also got the sway bar mount bushings to complete the job - K8690.

If you call Quigley with your VIN they will tell you the interchange/generic number for the parts you need. They're super helpful.

I did this in the fall. The process was easy and they were very helpful. At the time I didn't think the amount of money I would possibly save trying to order them on my own was worth the effort and risk of getting it wrong.

I think people also assume Quigley wants a captive market, when in fact they are happy to either supply parts or supply just the information. A great example is them giving me the machining instructions for rotor/ABS clearance.

Agreed, they've been nothing but helpful and very transparent when I've contacted them for information about parts for my van.

Re: Quigley sway bar front axle bushings

I ordered the parts from Moog/ Amazon as jsnable recommended. Hopefully it will be a simple install per the directions and the parts fit. Will give all an update once I get some the time to install. Thank you for all the information a feedback, Brad.

Re: Quigley sway bar front axle bushings

This is begining to be quite the job. Lubed the bushing and used a C Clamp to press in but have only one installed 3/4 of the way in before it bent the clamp. I think incerting the sway bar will be even tougher.

Re: Quigley sway bar front axle bushings

At least you got the old ones out! To get the new bushings in, I used some threaded rod, washers, nuts, and a 1 1/2" pvc pipe cap to rig up a press of sorts after failing with a c-clamp (see alta825's posts in viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15429&p=151273&hilit=Pvc+cap#p 151273 for the inspiration).

Worked like a charm!
