Neat camper conversion.

Interesting, and looks well built. Not sure I would have used an E150 platform though.

There are more pics on the company's website that did the conversion.

There's nothing wrong with the newer 150s. In 2007 Ford up sized to an 8500 GVWR chassis complete with 8-lug wheels.

Got it. I vaguely recall the chassis differences going away, but didn't know when that change rolled out.

Even so that's about as light a build as I've ever seen.

Re: 2008 Ford E150 XLT Camper Van

Nothing wrong with the E150 depending on build, imo.
Our 98 Club wagon has a GVWR at 7k#. Tow capacity is 6k#.
Seats eight and that could be pushing 1500# after a good meal.
My best mpg was >20, albeit under controlled conditions.
Calls for XL tires (108 LI), good for 2100# per.
Parts are cheap(er) and lightweight.
Perfect platform for a weekend sleeper pulling a chuck wagon and a coupla canoes on top.
Ooo la la .
