Seems like he wants way too much for it to me. Wonder who did the conversion though. Its a great looking van. Curious on the slider door clearance too.

Re: 2000 Ford v10 4x4

So I called the guy who listed it. It is a quigley. Has brand new tires. New hoses. New spark plugs. New belts. Lots of new under the hood. He bought the van new and had the conversion done while new. I really went into detail on the 2 tank, 55 gallon transfer flow fuel system and raved about it.

He did say he know it's priced high. He could sell it, but doesn't need to he said.

What do you think is a fair price on this van?

Re: 2000 Ford v10 4x4

I'd say in the $20K range.

Two questions I'd ask is, why was it repainted, and how does the slider clear the rear tires (Quadvan brackets, or Agile Offroad door modification, or something else)?

Re: 2000 Ford v10 4x4

He said it was repainted after getting the rust in the gutters worked on. I did not ask about the slider door, even though I wondered that when I first typed the post here.

Basically where I'm at is I love everything about the van I have now. It just doesn't have 4x4.

I'm on the fence over converting mine. Buying something else. Or sticking with what I have.

Decisions....

Well, you know your van. As long as you're not expecting to get the money back for it, adding 4x4 is probably a better investment- unless there are other things in the mix like switching to V10 in the process.

I don't see any pics of yours in your gallery. Do you have some posted anywhere else? Does yours have side barn doors or a slider? I know you aren't happy with the exhaust noise, which would be a big consideration since the V10 is basically silent, but yours sounds nicer than the one in the link to me, so I would lean towards converting. Side slider would be a deal killer for me. Wives and kids aren't going to want to open/close that door if that applies to you. They are heavy and loud.

Re: 2000 Ford v10 4x4

My "goal" is to have my van for a REALLY long time. Its not my daily driver, and being that I am pretty good with staying up on the maintenance, it shouldn't have a problem doing so.

My van is a slider door, which sucks. I never thought it would bug me as much as it does when I'm camping out of it.

The exhaust noise on my van doesn't bother me. I added a second muffler and its slightly louder than stock now.

I want to go in and talk to Ramsey about a conversion, but am not sure I want to take on the expense right now. I also know myself, and I know if I do go in there, I'll get so fired up that I will do it. Haha.

I need to just stay off these boards and my pocket book would be a lot happier, probably not the only one who thinks that. Haha.

Price dropped to $25k. Still a little high in my opinion, but its getting closer.
