Clearly the current owners are not bad ass enough. Surely it should extend past the top of the popped top so you can drive to the middle of the lake and camp with the motor running!

That's cool to look at, but I have zero desire to own one of those Unimogs.

Pretty cool and looks like a fun rig.

But I always have in the back of my mind the question "What about everyday things to keep it going?" Such as oil/air filters? Does the AutoZone have stuff like that? Or do they have to be ordered from Germany?

And say you break down in places like Page, AZ, as one forum member did recently with his Ford fuel pump. As far as I know, there isn't a Mercedes dealer in small towns like Page that can help you out with your Unimog.

Just wondering....

Parts can be ordered through Freightliner dealers. Some filters are probably stocked. Freightliner sold the Unimog under their badge for a few years, and all the new Freightliners have Mercedes motors anyways.

Unimogs are always cool to look at. Maybe someday when I'm retired and my other car is a John Deere or a SnowCat. I'm especially envious of the garage the owner has that he/she can park it into.

That would be perfect, as you would then have lots of time to get to your destination, which is a requirement if you drive a Mog.
