2002 Pleasure Way Traverse

Seems like a pretty good deal and a clean van.

Re: 2002 Pleasure Way Traverse

Nice find!!!

I have a buddy down in San Clemente who's been sitting on the fence about getting an SMB-type rig, he might consider this one based on how clean/well-maintained it appears.

Re: 2002 Pleasure Way Traverse

You got me curious to see what these Pleasure Way Traverse models sell for....so I searched a bit online just now.....and it looks like a pretty wild spread of prices people ask for them. Some are astronomical...and then others (like the one you listed) seem like far more realistic pricing.

This one looked like another great deal ---
a 2005 model Pleasure Way Traverse, very similar --- with only 50k miles on it for $10k.

Pretty compelling Sportsmobile alternative!
If only they built the equivalent of the SMB walk-through "30" layouts.

For 10k that one seems like an absolute steal to me!

Re: 2002 Pleasure Way Traverse

I'd be surprised if the one in SD doesn't sell in a few more days. If that one in Louisville was in CA, it wouldn't have lasted a day. If it were closer, I would buy it myself!

I bought that Traverse a couple of days ago up in Anaheim (also listed in San Diego - he should delete it) and will be converting it to Agile TTB Long Travel 4-Wheel Drive and taking it down to Cabo. I'm going to bring back up our EB 30 Sportsmobile Agile TTB Long Travel 4-Wheel Drive and selling it. We will also be keeping our original EB down there.

I wanted to get a RB van and have always wanted a nice Traverse. I drove all the way to Utah a couple of weeks ago to look at one and passed on it as it was too rough. Wasted and expensive trip as my Jetta TDI blew up between Las Vegas and Mesquite, NV on the way up - seller really misrepresented the van.

This one though is really nice, sold by the original owner and well cared for.

GTRV's and Traverse's are very well built and executed - right up there with Sportsmobiles in many ways.

We located and built this one for a customer in Park City, UT - he absolutely loves it!

Before:

After:

This new one will get the same treatment but with 35" tires.

I think there is something wrong with that ad - the price is way off the mark and no dealer would not put a phone number in their ad. I have also seen it floating around before.

GTRV and Traverse pricing is right in line with SMB similarly dressed.

Here is a nice one I might bid on for a customer. Someone should buy it! Exactly like the one we did above.

Couldn't resist - I'm high bidder, but "reserve not met".

Wonder what it will go for?

Re: 2002 Pleasure Way Traverse

Ah, drat, you are right. I was corresponding with the "seller" last night and supposedly he is sending photos. I'm guessing they will be the exact ones from this dealer ad:

https://www.classicvans.com/camper-vans ... verse.html

I did do a nationwide Traverse search last night to make sure it wasn't posted all over CL, and got no other hits. I guess this guy is just smarter than average.

Sometimes crazy cheap deals do come up, though, from people who don't know the real value or just want to move it.
