Abs light after gear change

On my 2001 e250, the ABS light has come on about 50 miles after I had 410 gears installed. I discussed this possibility with the shop who did the gears, but they felt it wouldn't be an issue with a 2001. I've checked all the connections at the wheels and at the differential. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot or fix this issue? Thanks in advance.....

If it comes on only after the van moves, pull the rear speed sensor and wipe off any debris. New gears leave fines in the oil as they break in, and they stick to the sensor. This is even more apparent with Limited Slip.

If it never turns off after starting the van, it's probably electrical, as that means it's not passing the self-test.

I called the shop that did the swap,and they said they had trouble with the right front sensor but thought it was fixed. They also said to get it fixed, and they would pay the bill,so it's off to the dealer in the AM. I'll know on Friday..

Dealer or anyone with the right computer can tell you which sensor is not working correctly.

Problem solved! Turns out the sensor wire for the right front was not properly replaced, and was rubbing on the tire until it shorted. While it was in the air, I also noticed oil dripping out of the new front pinion shaft seal. Yikes, this work was done by one of the biggest and most well known ring and pinion shops in the country. Oh well, I'll just keep moving forward. I also got another muffler put on today, as the one put on last week had an annoying drone on the highway. It's time to get this show on the road so I can enjoy all my hard work...
