Steering play

I searched this and read a lot of the postings and see a lot of suggestions and ideas but not always a final out come and need a little help. we did a weekend run in the van after doing some modifations and experienced a bit of play in the steering kind of like drifting.
Here is what I have
2013 E150 eb cargo 5.4 12,000 miles
2" lift on front with new springs and Bilstien shocks all around ( from action van)
17" x 8" wheels and Toyo LT 265/70r17 10 ply tires
2" rear spacer
Bilstein steering stabilizer
I had the front end aligned after the lift and wheels and tires were installed
Truck does not pull it feels good except for the drifting
I plan on adding the rear hellwig sway bar to help.
I see in the treads about maybe needing to get a littler deeper into the Alignment with changing caster /camber
Anyone what have an ideas or suggestions
Everything under the truck looks tight and in good condition since it only has 12,000 and I did not experience any of this when it was stock.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Steering play

yes, start with tire pressures before you dive into anything else. but you can jack up your front end and check your ball joints for any play. try bringing the front air pressures up a bit and maybe dropping the rear a little, your running them at near max pressure of 80. try F-60 R-65 plus sometimes with new tires they need a few miles on them to mellow out to not relay every road imperfection.

Re: Steering play

When our SMB was new, I didn't feel that it was drifting but just that I needed to hold on to the steering wheel continually. We put some spacers on the rear and that solved the problem.

Re: Steering play

Thanks Ref I will try changing the air pressure and see how it feels. I don't really have any weight in it yet so maybe this will.

And Yvrr I already installed spacer before I really got,to go on the road so did not have anything to compare there but yes I feel like I have to hold on to the wheel the whole time.

I will let you know how it feels after ajusting the air.
Thanks

Re: Steering play

You may need more toe-in. Too little toe-in will tend to wander.

Going through old post and thought I would finish this one in case someone is searching this question. Everything is running perfect now after putting a few miles on the new tires and adjusting air pressure it runs great. Thanks for advise
