Ah this one is fresh in my mind
There is 1 "Fuel Filter" on the top of the engine. Then there are 4 other "screens".
On the side of the Fuel Filter bowl there is a pressure regulator that has a mesh screen (clean this when changing the filter)
In the fuel tank there is a mesh screen on the bottom of the pickup tube.
Also in the fuel tank pickup there is a mixing chamber that has 2 mesh screen inside (bloody stupid idea IMHO).

In the very near future I will be adding spin on CAT filters and an extra lift pump to both of my 7.3's. I have already got rid of the in tank screens on the ambulance conversion as one dose of crappy fuel will cripple the vehicle and it is not a trail repair situation. Hopefully I will remember to take some photos and make put up a thread for later reference.
In fuel tank mixing chamber screens.
Fuel pickup modification showing the pickup umbrella but not the actual screen.
After pulling the mixing screens I put this temporary filter in before the lift pump. $6 at NAPA and I can change it in about 2 minutes with the wingnut style hose clamps.
