V10 fuel question
A while back, I was searching for performance mods on the V10 to milk a few extra MPG, and ran across a thread discussing a certain part that fails on the v10 like clockwork every "Xthousand" miles. I thought it was every 50k miles, but I don't remember. From my understanding it was an easy fix and seemed to be electrical? Can anyone point me to the part or thread? I have been looking and looking to try and find it again.
Best,
C.

Re: V10 fuel question
My V10 has well over 100K - No problems, I would also like to know about any failures.

Re: V10 fuel question
Starter relay. It's on the fender by the battery. It's about $12 for a cheap one, or ~$22 for a OE one. Bumping the ignition will usually make it go eventually, and if that doesn't work the terminals can be jumped with a leatherman. (Make sure its in park! it overrides the safety switch doing this)

In a word: NO.
If it failed, and you couldn't start your van, it could reduce your fuel consumption however.

Re: V10 fuel question
Turning the key to the START position. Repeat until the solenoid engages the starter.

Re: V10 fuel question
I have had two vans with the v-10's. No problems at all. I have been very happy with both. My first van had 177K on it when I sold it. It ran solid the entire time with no problems. Have 68K on my current one and it been bullet proof..
