2014 2500 Sprinter w/4 cyl and 7spd

Very happy with our first trip in our newly upfitted cargo van. We averaged 23.9 mpg throughout Oregon, Idaho, Utah and western Colorado. The 7spd works great at towing the whaler and did excellent on the hills while returning good mpg. The two solar panels output 6.9 aH throughout the day which more than compensated for the Domestic fridge and fantastic fan and LED lights. The sound insulation made for a great night sleep wherever we were.

Looks like a beautiful van. Was it upfitted by Van Specialties or Outside Van? Would you mind sharing some more details and pics?

The Solar is doing a great job. Never have to turn the Domestic Fridge off. Can run the LED's in the Galley, Under bed storage, below cabinet red lights as well as center roof lights without running the house AGM's down at all. The flooring is proving to be resistant to stains (beer and wine mostly), and the dog fur doesn't stick. Opening one static Fantastic Fan while running the powered fan in exhaust mode low setting, along with the cross ventilation from both the slider and galley windows is very comfortable when in direct sunlight. The extra insulation is working well.

The 3 panel stackable or removable bed is larger than Queen size but just slightly smaller than a King. 4" Thick bed cushions go on today. They are vinyl wrapped for ease of cleaning. We just bought an ikea 2" thick memory foam topper to roll out on top of the 4" hr35 foam cushions. Our security system is the only non diesel or solar powered devise.

http://www.zampsolar.com/index.php?m...id=1423&page=1

the above link is for the Zamp solar system we installed. This 200 watt, 30 Amp kit is designed for a 3 Port Solar Roof Cap. These 2 - 100 watt panels put out 11.2 amps of charging power. Even in less than full sun, I am getting 6-8 ah continuous. It is the best improvement we have done so far for the Van, by far. Now, this winter I might be singing a different tune when we can finally utilize the Diesel Heater.

•2 - 100 Watt Zamp Solar Solar Panel
?Class A Moncrystalline - Highest Efficiency, Highest Quality
?39 1/2 x 26 1/2 x 1 3/8 per panel
?17.9 lbs Per Panel
?11.2 amps per hour under optimal light
•30 Amp Digital Deluxe Solar Controller
?5 Stage - Soft, Bulk, Absorption, Equalization and Float Charges
?PWM
?LED Read Out Light
?LCD Read Out
•Zamp Solar "Z" Bracket Mounting Feet for panel(s)
•10' UV Rated Solar Panel Wire - Pre-wired with Zamp Solar Plug (Fits to Roof Cap)

Finished the cushions for the 3 panel bed. They came out soft and very comfortable.

This interior resembles Van Specialties' handy work more than Sportsmobile's.
