Removed the curtains

It finally dawned on me I could get better views if I removed the curtains that came with the van. I don't use them much anyway, and they attract dust. I use Reflectix panels if I want shade, and they give privacy and a bit of insulation. Can can be used for other stuff. Each is labeled for it's own window.

I figure I got almost 10-15% more view. IMHO the more window space the better life is in the van.

Here's how it looks now (although obviously not as bent), sitting in the middle of the gaucho. You can just barely see out the rear passenger window. And the windows are closer than they seem.

Very nice. Much better than curtains.

Re: Removed the curtains

We've got the day/nite shades. Haven't used them in 2 years since I made reflectix cutouts for all the windows. Great stuff.

Re: Removed the curtains

That's Refugio State Beach out the window, BTW. They have a great group site; be a nice spot for a SoCal/NorCal meetup some time.Although it's in "the" SoCal (don't you guys add "the" to everything?), it's reasonable for everyone.

And I've reused the curtains elsewhere.
