2014 driver's power seat swap

Does anyone know if the driver's power seat from a 2014 E350 is plug and play for a 2005 power seat? I believe the bolt pattern for the mounts are the same so it should bolt in, but I'm not sure about whether the plugs will plug right in.

If someone has a 2014 (or 2009+) and can post a couple pics of the plugs under their seat, that would be awesome.

You could perhaps access the schematics for the different years, maybe pin-out or face view of the connectors----that should quickly show if they're plug n play or need to be reconfigured.

AutoZone has schematics viewable and downloadable online.

Howdy here are the plugs under the power drivers seat of my 2014 E350. They are the stock high-back grey bucket seats with the single armrest to the center. No swivel installed or aftermarket stuff. Only the driver seat is power and there are several plugs, do these pics help?

Thanks for posting these pics! I'll check to see if that grey plug is the same as mine.

Re: 2014 driver's power seat swap

I have a 2008 without power seat and I have that same box on the floor. (I think...???)...

Edit: I can't tell if it's the same since mine has a cover on it.....the point I was trying to make is that may not be part of the power seat stuff.

Re: 2014 driver's power seat swap

Is that box the thing called something like restraint control module? I've never had a van with one, but that's because the airbag system on my vintage (late 90's) doesn't have that. I think though that it's one of the reasons SMB stopped putting swivel seats on the driver's side.

I may be off base, but I do know that I have read that there is such a module under the driver's seat on later model vans.

Re: 2014 driver's power seat swap

Here are the plugs from my 2005. The black plug with the solid colored wires goes to the power seat adjustment switches on the seat. The other plug has wires going to what I think are the motors.

Glasspack, could you look under your seat to see if those plugs are the same?
