Silly question I know, but I'm curious. Where does your loyal pooch ride while traveling down the road in the SMB?
We will be getting a SMB in a few months. Our chocolate lab Dignan currently rides between the seats in our Xterra and he must have a commanding view of the road ahead.
My 4 Japanese Chins get their own "petlookout seats" that are strapped in behind the sofa in our EB 50. I bet this doesn't really help the 'parent' of a Lab but it does give me an excuse to post this photo again:

We have an aisle layout. We just put a couple of dog beds on the floor and they are happy (two 70lb dogs). They also know they are not allowed up front. Another thing I did was to cut out a bunch of those interlocking "foam" (approx 2'x2') squares to fit our floor and lay on top of the marine grade vinyl. This keeps them from sliding around at all, protects the floor, and actually adds a nice layer of insulation. All for under $20 .

We had the "Porta-Potti" compartment in our closet "D" finished as a kennel with a wire door. (Our little ones seem to always find their way into the WORST possible spots if left to roam free while driving.)
Our dog usually has the entire back floor area between the bed and the rear doors. Having that dog space, along with extra storage, was a major factor in our getting the EB.

This would be her prefered spot, but usually she rides in the goucho behind the drivers seat, the other dog stands between the front seats or lays on his bed on the floor.

My dog loves to sleep on the couch. When he isn't sleeping, he generally just props his head in the awning window on the passenger side and lord only knows what he's thinking about as the miles go by! He does love it.

Is there any way to make sure my wife does not see this thread?
...if she does we will be in the dog market much sooner than planned....
