Aftermarket HMSL?

Anyone here had occasion to install an aftermarket High Mounted Stop Light? Need something fully encased and weather tight to replace a sealed unit I have on a raised roof van, MobilityWorks was the original converter.

TIA

Re: Aftermarket HMSL?

Truck/trailer lights come to mind. I have two similar to these on my rack, you could obviously just wire on to the brake connection only in the center:

Re: Aftermarket HMSL?

Thanks for the help and input guys----more than a few good choices. I did find Truck-Lite has this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ref_=pd_ybh_3 which is one option. Prices are all over the map on it though......pays to shop around some times.

Our friend 1der is looking into one other option----I'll make a choice at some point.

Thanks once again----knew y'all would have great input!

Another option is to retrofit the existing SMB mounted tail light.

I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004O1 ... ge_o00_s00

took it apart and placed it inside the existing Sportsmobile housing.

Re: Aftermarket HMSL?

After looking at my current CHMSL it doesn't need replaced as originally thought, rather it needs re-attached.

A bit of hi-tek adhesive and all is well once again. Even so I greatly appreciate y'all for helping---gives good insight should a full-on replacement be needed in the future.
