Top is in great shape- 2 years old

i figured i could get an idea of what it's worth and what people are willing to pay for it that way. i already have gotten a couple of offers. no green backs in hand yet....

Anyone know who could install this top in Southern California/San Diego. Called SMB today about it and they won't install it and it's beyond my skillset.

I know a lot of you have done this on your own. What type of local shop could do this type of work?

That's strange. SMB Texas were willing to install a second hand one for me. Quotes $1800 if I turned up with the top removed from the other vehicle. About twice that if they had to remove it from the old vehicle.

Ive done it and its really no big deal to install the top it's the finish of the interior that's more difficult.

This guy is just down the road from me, and we spoke on the phone. Sounded like a nice guy. I wanted that thing......like bad.....but the Mrs wasn't feeling it.

How about some talk on price....from the gallery....lots of talk about home brew tops, but how often does someone sell a perfectly good SMB top only? sorry to hijack. BYW I could steal 2k from her purse and she would never know!!!!! Yes I looked in there.

First off, for discussion's sake remember that different SMB locations give different answers, and the same will sometimes give a different answer on a different day!

Also, I thought getting a top installed new was around 5K, there are posts on it here somewhere.

I'd guess the aftermarket value is around 2K, but I could see someone paying 3K because it's a rare used item, or not being able to sell it at all. Above 3K and my feeling is you might as well do a new one.

Also it sounds like the ad is no longer valid, so I'm moving the post.
