King of the Hammers?
Anyone going to the King of the Hammers? http://ultra4racing.com/tag/2013-king-of-the-hammers/
Great off-road event.
I'm coming down from Wa to spectate.
Camping thurs eve Feb 7th at the event. Staying at Butterfield Ranch the eve of the 8th on rd S2 by Anza Borrego.
Not sure if my van will be there - this is a shakedown run for my new buggy, and yes street legal.
Doing the Diablo Drop at Anza.
Look for me in this.

Re: King of the Hammers?
Went last year and planning to go again this year. It was a blast. We are camping near Cougar Buttes. For those of you not familiar with this race it's a combination of desert racing combined with sections of extreme rock crawling. The trophy class rigs are insane!

Wish I could.. The E450 ambulance that we're finishing up right now will be there though, so look out for it!

Thanks shenrie. Doing some Mexico later this year so we'll see what its got.
Its a race buggy, race prepped, with a ecotech 2.2 watercooled motor. I'm a tourist so its a cruiser for me. With a killer roof rack! Easy life for it.

Re: King of the Hammers?
While buying some Samurai parts, I met a guy on Monday that races a 'Pro 4' he called it, at King of the Hammers and I guess other events. I wasn't familiar with events that have both high speed with slow technical sections.
That <video> makes the event look like some SERIOUS fun!!!
Going to that is NOW on my bucket list
thanks for sharing

Re: King of the Hammers?
Oh crap, it's a real emergency vehicle! Thought is was going to be an ambulance converted to an RV.
Nice job.

Exactly what I was thinking.
Chris, great looking rig, but no fender flares on the front? I see what appears to be a mud flap, but it looks somewhat naked up there without a fender flare.
