Living and traveling in a self-built camper van

Cool blog site I stumbled on about a guy who quit his job, built a camper van, and is traveling in Europe.

Re: Living and traveling in a self-built camper van

I know a guy about 67 yrs old who has been living in his SMB full time for quite a number of years. One the most aware and connected-to-life people I have ever met. It really all comes down to choices, doesn't it?

The fellow (Mike Hudson) has made a 90-second time lapse video about a day living in his van:

I really like his van: wood walls, tall enough to stand and walk in, and cozy (perhaps because of the lack of windows?) Looks like they open the side slider door for daylight.

Hmmm.

Never go outside
Never put a shirt on
Connected to shore power
No windows

The slide out bed frame is pretty interesting, looks like alternating planks. I'd go insane without windows though, side door or not.
