Re: Glow in the dark paint

I raced a little 1/2-1600 car back in the early 90's that we had Powder Coated with a glow in the dark coating over the yellow base. It would glow for an hour or so after sitting in the light and quit working after a few months.

Luckily we had a Powder Coating sponsor, so it didn't cost us anything to try it.

Re: Glow in the dark paint

I saw a picture of it at night but wondered what it really looks like to the naked eye. A lot of that stuff looks different with city street lights in the area burning. I have glow tape I use on telescope tripod legs that shows all night but your eyes are accustomed to low light conditions and the tape is easy to see.
Still, I'd like to see that car for myself.

Your coating probably didn't have any strontium in it.......completely biodegradable of course....
