Re: When wildlife attacks

She was way too close to the big guy. I've seen so many people getting close to wildlife that I'm surprised it doesn't get ugly more often.

You don't want to know what's lurking outside your van. I was at Plaskett Creek campground in Big Sur and caught something rare on my game camera. Pretty sure it's a mountain lion.

^^^ uhgreed.

we just missed a 6-7 year old get thrown 30 feet by a bison in the early 90's. we were riding our bikes past old faithful inn headed to the general store. i heard the little girl ask her mom if she could "go pet the buffalo". i assumed her mom said no, but as we passed back by 10 min later there was a huge crowd gathered where they were. apparently the mom gave the go ahead to pet bison. someone who saw the whole thing go down told us that the little girl walked up and lightly pet the bisons front leg area. the dude said the bison just gave her one thrust of its head sideways and threw the poor little thing out its way ripping a huge gash in her thigh with its horn. they said the bison didnt even move its feet. some parents are just clueless.

same trip we saw a crowd of people watching a full grown massive racked elk thrashing a small tree. there was a little asian dude creeping up on the elk to take pix...like seriously 20' away. no clue who it was, but he drove up, walked over past the crowd and yelled "hey you dumb f*ck, get the hell away from that thing before it kills you!" The little dude heard him, looked over, then focused all his attention on the elk again. the guy who pulled up shook his head, walked back to his truck, and drove away. we decided we didnt want to see the dipshit get mauled either and rode away. never heard anything else about it, so i suppose he didnt really piss of the elk to bad. lucky little dumbass.

tapatio, thats scary...im scared of big cats. little cats can mess you up bad quick fast, i cant even imagine the damage a big pissed off kitty could do.
