I just read the book "Smokejumper," a memoir of a, you guessed it, smokejumper (
http://www.amazon.com/Smokejumper-Memoi ... 0062319620).
The author talks a few times about living in his van, and the photo section has a prominent photo of his high-top Ford SMB van.
The book was so-so. I got it out of the library and it was a quick and easy read. Not sure I'd spend $17 on it, though. Some good insight into becoming a smokejumper and their work, but not enough personal stories/anecdotes IMO. But worth a read if you are at all interested in that "world," I guess.
